Any extra info or pictures of this gun would be greatly appreciated, this is all I could find. --commando552 (talk) 13:03, 23 July 2013 (EDT)
Found a little bit of info (translated from a plaque in a random pic I found of one in a German museum) and added it to the main page. If the info is correct and there were only 40 of them made, this has to be one of the rarest guns that has turned up in a film. Unfortunately that doesn't stop it being one of the ugliest looking weapons I have ever seen. --commando552 (talk) 12:55, 24 July 2013 (EDT)
Looks like a PPSH-43 got it on with an MP40. I thought it was some kinda Wehrmacht reverse-engineered gun when I saw the picture! BeardedHoplite (talk) 10:51, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
- The straight edges makes it look a bit futuristic. I'm sure if more were made it would've been a fixture in science fiction films. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:54, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
- To me it looks the opposite, looking like a typical made on the cheap mid 40s SMG rather than a gun from the late 50s/early 60s that was bidding for a competitive contract. My first thought when I saw it was that it looked kind of like a PPS-43 with a PPSh-41 barrel jacket. It seems odd to me that such a rare weapon would turn up in a single film in a rather unimportant role used by some mook. Does anyone know if it was fired in Speed Racer, would kind of be a shame if a museum worthy weapon like this was hacked to appear in a single movie. --commando552 (talk) 12:16, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
