Talk:Dunkirk (2017)
Airplanes?
Can anybody identify the airplanes used in the movie? I saw the following:
Spitfire Messerschmitt Bf-109 (a spanish plane stood in for this as I read somewhere?) Heinkel HE-111 (CGI or model?) a British bomber which I cannot remember
Can anybody identify the exact models used?--Hchris (talk) 18:57, 29 July 2017 (EDT)
I recall seeing the Spanish HA-1112s in the commercial. If it's not CGI, it's definitely a Spanish He-111 as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 23:24, 29 July 2017 (EDT)
- The HE-111 was a combination of a scale model and CGI :-). There are no flying HE-111 left in the world. The last one crashed around the year 2000 if I remember correctly. --Hchris (talk) 05:10, 30 July 2017 (EDT)
- Yup, it looks like the last CASA 2.111 crashed in 2003. Quite a shame. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:04, 30 July 2017 (EDT)
- The British bomber looked like a Bristol Blenheim Mk I, and Duxford has a flying example of one so if it is a real plane (which it looked like to me) I would guess it is that one. The Duxford one is not actually a real Mk I, it started as a Mk IV but it crashed in 2003 destroying the front of the fuselage so they converted it to the shorter nosed Mk I variant. --commando552 (talk) 18:00, 30 July 2017 (EDT)

MP40
Going to avoid spoilers here, but it looked like the silhouetted German soldiers at the end of the film are armed with MP40s.--AgentGumby (talk) 17:21, 27 August 2017 (EDT)
Winnant's revolver
Winnant has a 1937 canvas holster, issued for Webley .38 Mk IV, while .455 Mk VI was carried in leather holster that has very different shape. Greg-Z (talk) 12:56, 25 December 2017 (EST)
