Talk:Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is one of those actors who has frequently denounced firearms. I find it annoying that occasionally handling blank-adapted movie weapons is considered sufficient experience to give one's anti-gun BS the air of credibility.

There are MANY actors/Actresses listed on IMFDB who are anti-gun. But this is not about their politics. Its to chronicle history of guns and cinema (and other media like TV, anime, etc.) So when it comes to actors, we may point OUT their politics just to make sure that people know that WE KNOW what these folks are all about, but we can still list them for scholarly purposes. This includes anti American and Anti gun movies as well. We may list them, but we will still put a disclaimer stating that we do NOT approve of their message. I did not mean to imply that she should not be listed because of her views. I recognize that her page exists to list her history of weapons use, I just wanted to point out that she does hold anti-gun view points (it is because of her that the Angels in the Charlie's Angels films did not use firearms like their 70's TV counterparts).
