Working on this, from scratch. Give me time to get this going. If anyone can correct which Glock the Dets. Carry, let me know. I think its the 23.

Help Id'ing a 3rd gen S&W Pistol

Haven't gotten a screenshot yet, but there is a 3rd Generation S&W pistol in a couple of episodes- Could be any number of stainless pistols- 5906, 4006etc. Will post here so we can figure this out.

Here you go. Anyone recognize the pistol? it looks like a 5906 to me.

Which episode is that from? I'll try to get a better shot? And why are these two shots in different aspect ratios?

Its just how I cropped 'em. its from Stone Cold, Episode 16. During a meet between a deep cover DEA Agent, Det. Stone and a drug dealer.

Homicide: Season 8

I caught the pilot on Netflix, and I can't help but notice the similarities to Homicide: Life on the Street. Depressing urban setting? Check. Rookie homicide detective paired up with prickly yet effective partner? Check. Dry-erase board with closed cases in black and open cases in red? Check. Documentary-style? Check. Heck, they even have a black dude who's fluent in Italian like in Homicide. There are only 18 episodes, so I can pitch in if you need help. --Funkychinaman (talk) 01:43, 26 October 2012 (EDT)

Thanks. I'm going to need some help on what appears to be an M-4 of some sort in a few episodes- Sometimes in the hands of an FBI SWAT team the other time in the DPD SRT.

Screenshots

Got 'em coming. so far OK. Any comments or ideas?

Glocks

Sanchez looks like she has a Glock 19, everyone else looks like a Glock 17. I'm only two eps in, only she, Fitch and Stone have drawn their weapons so far. Unless we have definitive proof otherwise, we should assume they're all chambered in 9mm.

OK I'll edit it to reflect that. Glocks all look the same to me. Just a piece of tupperware.(LOL)

A look at Fitch's bore. I doubt you can see the 1.1mm difference between a 9mm and a .40 in this shot.

A nice convenient shot of Sanchez and Stone side by side with their weapons drawn.

Glock 26

In the image Sanchez seems to brandish a Glock 26 instead of a Glock 19, the barrel is too short for a Glock 19. --CosmoRenfro (talk) 21:55, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

I had a feeling about that. I'm going to see if I can get a few more shots. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:15, 31 October 2012 (EDT)

Postmortem

The show started out a bit slow at first, but it picked up momentum. Given the serial nature of the show, I think it really could've used a recap ("previously on Detroit 1-8-7"). I don't know if they actually aired one, but if they did, it didn't make the DVDs. I REALLY didn't like the way the season/series ended, and I would like to think that Season 2 would've dealt with the repercussions of what transpired in the finale. And on a lighter note, in my five years in Michigan, I don't think I met ANY woman as gorgeous as Natalie Martinez, much less a female cop. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:00, 26 November 2013 (EST)
