Talk:Command & Conquer: Generals
“No one is doing your work for you.” is this supposed to be a jab at me? If the article is not meeting the standard or anything just delete it. No need for passive aggression. —MohmarDeathstrike (talk) 01:04, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
- Not a jab, a reiteration of what is minimally expected to be done on a page, as is stated in the 'no effort' template. You want to take it as some kind of attack feel free but that's not really the deal. StanTheMan (talk) 02:46, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
- Still, I agree that Funkychinaman's particular edit summary seemed rather provocative and like an easy way to discourage new users from editing here, and that he could have transmitted the message in a more polite way. I mean, Deathstrike has done a good start on the page with relevant screenshots, etc. (even if some are not the best quality), and as long as he is willing to continue the page it could maybe qualify under WIP status. I mean, it's not like some other users who have been dumping weapon titles/images without doing anything regarding screencaps or even descriptions. If you'd like to continue the page, Deathstrike, try to put preferably full-sized screenshots without cropping them. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 05:54, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
- I dislike first day incompletes. If you're learning the ropes and need some time to figure out the process, then fine, that's what WIP and/or the talk page is for. But don't expect others to do work for you. But if anything thinks they can dump a few paragraphs on a page in the hopes that someone else will finish it, think again. As for this page, I did put it in WIP. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:21, 29 October 2017 (EDT)

Galil
“Not really, Galil was extensively exported and turns up everywhere, not selling them directly doesn't mean they'd never get sold on or stolen” I thought we’re talking about ISIS or Al-Nusra-esque terrorist organization which is fighting all out war against the US, using Israeli weapons on widescale level, spreading them across the civilian dissidents who utilize them to burn down American hotels. But I’m not an expert so hey this could be possible I guess. —MohmarDeathstrike (talk) 01:12, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Page
The following weapons can be seen in the game Command & Conquer: Generals and it’s expansion pack Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour:
Handguns
Beretta 93R
Beretta 93R is held by USA Superweapon General Alexis Alexander (Karina Thomas) on her portrait.
Colt Government
Colt Government is held by USA Air Force General Malcolm Grenger (Tim Davitt) on his victory portrait.
Cz.75
Cz75 (Pre-B Model) is held by Chinese infantry general Shin Fai on his portrait.
IMI Desert Eagle
IMI Desert Eagle is held by Chinese Tank General Ta Hung Kwai (Michael Bell) on his portrait.
Submachine Guns
IMI Uzi
IMI Uzi is held by Chinese Nuke General Tsing Shi Tao on his victory portrait. It is also held by one of the rioters on the icon of the GLA Angry Mob, albeit they are only armed with handguns and Molotov cocktails before AK47 upgrade in-game.
H&K MP5SD
H&K MP5SD is held by GLA Stealth General Prince Kassad on his portrait.
Assault Rifles
AKM
AKM is the standard assault rifle for the GLA Rebels. Oddly, this is also the gun held by the Chinese Red Guards and Minigunners on their icons, albeit Red Guards and Minigunners are armed with Type 56 SKS and made-for-game minigun respectively in-game.
AK74
AK-74 is held by a GLA soldier on the icon of GLA hole (note the muzzle brake).
- As of what information is available from the game itself (the actual image could be found here - https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/cnc/images/7/74/Gen1_GLA_Hole_Icons.png/revision/latest?cb=20100226182933 ) no clear identification of the weapon in question is possible. It is definetely some kind of rifle/light machinegun type of weapon - but nothing more is apparent from the icon.--RussianTrooper (talk) 05:47, 26 July 2018 (EDT)
H&K SL8
H&K SL8s are held by soldiers on the background of Chinese infantry general Shin Fai’s portrait.
IMI Galil SAR
IMI Galil SARs are seen on the icon of the GLA upgrade “Arm the Mob,” along with an AK47 is also seen on the right-hand side. However, actually purchasing this upgrade results in the ingame announcer saying the virally memetic phrase "AK-47s for everyone!" and will also make the Mob's members brandish low-poly AK-type rifles.
M16A2
M16A2 is the standard assault rifle for the USA Rangers. Although it is depicted with M203 Grenade Launcher attached to the gun, grenade launcher is not an in-game feature.
Objective Individual Combat Weapon
OICW is depicted as the main weapon of the USA hero Colonel Burton in-game.
- And there things become actually tricky. While the model do resemble XM29 OICW rifle (and behaves in-game accordingly), Colonel Burton's weapon is depicted as a hand-held M134 Minigun in cameo ( https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/cnc/images/4/41/Gen1_Burton_Icons.png/revision/latest?cb=20100209205807 ) and is mentioned as a "sniper rifle" in the game's manual ( https://files.cncnz.com/generals/Command_and_Conquer_-_Generals_-_UK_Manual_-_PC.pdf ) --RussianTrooper (talk) 06:20, 26 July 2018 (EDT)
Steyr AUG
Oddly, Austrian Steyr AUGs are seen on the icon of the USA upgrade “Advanced Training”.
Type 56 SKS
Contrary to the icon which depicts AK series rifle, Type 56 SKS is seen as the main weapon of the Chinese Red Guard in-game.
- Yet again - we do not actually see these rifles, not are they mentioned anywhere directly. The cameo shows a "Red Guard" infantry carrying some AK47/AKM-type rifle (may be the Type 56), while the game's manual ( https://files.cncnz.com/generals/Command_and_Conquer_-_Generals_-_UK_Manual_-_PC.pdf ) states they are armed with "bolt-actions rifles" (sic) --RussianTrooper (talk) 06:22, 26 July 2018 (EDT)
Sniper Rifles
H&K MSG90
H&K MSG90 is the standard weapon of the USA Pathfinder.
SVD Dragunov
SVD Dragunov is the main weapon of the GLA hero Jarmen Kell.
Machine Guns
Browning M2
Browning M2 is the weapon for the GLA technicals, before acquiring any salvage upgrade.
M249 Para
Strangely, M249 Para is depicted as the main weapon of the USA Rangers on the weapon mode selection icon.
Launchers
AT4
AT4 is the standard weapon of the Chinese Tank Hunters.
FIM-92 Stinger
FIM-92 Stinger is the standard weapon of the GLA Stinger Soldiers occupying Stinger Site. Strangely, it is also depicted as the weapon of the USA Missile Defenders on their icon.
RPzB 54 "Panzerschreck"
While the USA Missile Defenders are probably supposed to be armed with something like an Mk 153 SMAW, the launcher they actually carry in-game can only really be identified by having a blast shield like a Panzerschreck.
RPG-7
RPG-7 is the standard weapon of the GLA RPG Troopers.
SPG-9
SPG-9 recoilless rifle is used for the GLA technicals after the second stage salvage upgrade.
