These look like M4-types but the muzzle brake is different. Please help. --Ben41 (talk) 17:27, 10 November 2015 (EST)
The aircraft carrier is the Intrepid in NYC. You can cross-reference its aircraft here, so you can see they don't have an Israeli A-4. Either way, Israeli A-4s were armed with 30mm Adens rather than Mk 12s. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:23, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- Oh. Thanks. Didn't know about that. It looked like Israeli markings. Ominae (talk) 09:02, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- The Israeli jet is a Kfir, which is supposed to have 30mm DEFAs. Considering these planes are kept in the open in NYC, I doubt they'd have any real cannons mounted at all. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:04, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- I honestly don't think the cannons on the planes are worth documenting. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:14, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- Me either. They're nothing more that background.And yeah, there's no A-4--Mandolin (talk) 09:22, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- I'll have them removed in a bit. Ominae (talk) 09:26, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- That said, in the first shot you can see one of the Intrepid's 40mm quad Bofors gun installations and one of her 5 inch guns, the 5in is directly about the nose of USS Growler's missile and the 40mm is above the next white pole on the left. Evil Tim (talk) 13:26, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- I'm not sure the Intrepid still had 40mm and 5 in guns that late in the game. I think those are both 3 in guns. The Navy removed the 5 in guns from the Essex class when they were upgraded, and the Navy replaced almost all 40mms with 3 in guns. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:50, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- You can see one of these mounts in a photo from 1968. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:03, 13 October 2015 (EDT)
- Naw, she's still got a Bofors there, though I suppose that's a 3 inch gun next to it rather than a 5. You can see that section of deck with the Bofors guns still there in this shot, left of the staircase: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/06/Intrepid_Museum_Panorama.jpg Evil Tim (talk) 14:08, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

- They must've add the quad 40mm mount for the museum then, because it's not in the 1968 picture. They must rearrange the planes on the flight deck a lot. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:12, 13 October 2015 (EDT)

IDs/Other Notes
The revolver looks to be a J-frame S&W, probably a Model 60 or possibly one of the alloy frame guns. The PDW might be a mockup since the gun in the cap looks to have a S-E-F lower, not a Navy lower as per a real PDW. Some of the Colt 933s look like they have A1 uppers (fixed carry handle, no A2 sights and no brass deflector) so these are likely rather older Colt Model 733s. On the unknown AR, this might be an M16A4.. it looks to have the heavy barrel and A2 rear sights but the carry handle looks to be the detachable type that goes on a railed upper, thus, an A4. Also of note is that first 1911 has slanted serrations on the slide, rather than straight, so it's not a straight-up 1911A1. A few other minor notes, some of the gun thumbnails need to be checked (no need to use caps of screen-used guns from other films when we have default caps of those same guns, and some details on the caps looked off), and need to have those gun page links in the section text. StanTheMan (talk) 13:19, 1 November 2015 (EST)
- UPDATE - The revolver is a six-shooter, not five, and looks a bit bigger so this is actually a 3" K-frame, a S&W Model 64 or Model 65. The stainless non-standard 1911 on second-look appears to be a Colt Gold Cup National Match. StanTheMan (talk) 13:22, 26 November 2015 (EST)
In the most recent episode, it looked like Weller had the newer SIG P320 instead of his usual SIG P226R. --L.J. Gibbs (talk) 15:28, 15 April 2016 (EDT)
