Edison Giocattoli Sharkmatic
The Edison Giocattoli Sharkmatic is a toy cap gun produced by Italian toy gun manufacturer Edison Giocattoli in the 1970s. It was said to be so realistic that in some countries it was banned for sales through toy stores.

Zoraki 925 guts
It's just a 914 inside a shell. Just thought it should be mentioned on the page.--James3 (talk) 00:15, 28 March 2014 (EDT)
Great job!

I'm not sure a toy gun belongs on this page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:51, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
- It's realy not easy question: it's clearly not theairsoft gun, and not the standart blank fire guns, availible only for adults, but's it's a powder action toy. Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:05, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
- Realistic looking cap guns were fairly popular up to the early to mid nineties in the US, until kids started getting shot by cops. They're just toys. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:39, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
- Such guns (mostly eight rounded revolver) revolvers are very popular in Russia as well. Even more, full metal toy cap guns are also exist. Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:07, 14 August 2017 (EDT)
- I agree this 'gun' is a grey area but so are a number of other items on this site (some looking even worse). However, they are very realistically looking, they say "Bang!"when the trigger is pulled and they are used in several movies so people may wonder what they are. GregZ made the Photoshop and plans to add further movies and/or TV shows. Yes, there are many more cooler guns on this site but I vote in favour to put it back on the Blank Fire Only Guns page, PeeWee055 (talk) 04:44, 15 August 2017 (EDT)
- I think that this "weapon" doesn't fit Blank Fire Guns, as it doesn't fire anything, even blanks. But here and there we see toy guns, standing for real ones and looking very realistic, so maybe there is sense to create a page "Toy Guns" for such (and only such) pieces? Good examples are Mattel M-16 Marauder in Green Berets, or Escape_(La_carapate),_The#Toy_Luger_pistolToy Luger in La carapate. A "pro" is that we have a goal to identify all guns in media, including the toy guns standing for real ones. A "contra" is that such category would open the doors too wide. So I don't know if this idea is good or not. Greg-Z (talk) 06:54, 15 August 2017 (EDT)

- Good point, Greg. How about calling this category 'Realistic Toy Guns' to include e.g. above (almost real) guns and exclude pink plastic fantasy water guns? After all, people may be led to believe certain toy guns may be real ones. PeeWee055 (talk) 07:24, 15 August 2017 (EDT)
- We can identify the gun without giving it its own page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 07:58, 15 August 2017 (EDT)
