Villains

Isn't Deadshot just a Batman villain? Why is he in a Green Arrow series?

He was originally a Batman villain, but since then he has expanded and has appeared all across the DCU. He is probably best known now for the Suicide Squad and Secret Six comics, which are stand alone and are not tied to any other comic in particular, just a bunch of villains/anti-heroes doing their own morally ambiguous thing. More of a head-scratcher is the fact that they decided to make Huntress Arrows first love interest. As far as I can remember this has never happened in the comics, and its not like their is a shortage of women that Green Arrow has hooked up with that they could have chosen from. --commando552 (talk) 15:20, 11 December 2012 (EST)

Maybe they just didn't read their source material. I'm pretty sure Arrow dates Black Canary.

Batman villain "Firefly" has a flamethrower in an upcoming episode. --Btgr (talk) 01:23, 4 January 2013 (EST)

Slade used 1911's akimbo in the latest episode customized a bit, someone else would have to confirm the make I can never tell--Iceman (talk) 14:20, 23 March 2013 (EDT)

Rotary grenade launcher

I don't think that grenade launcher is a Milkor. The Milkor reloads by twisting the chambers to the side, wheras this gun clearly "breaks" with the chambers and barrels pivoting down. Also there appears to be too much receiver behind the chambers and the stock attaches diferently. It appears to be a Deftech but the chambers are too long, anyone have any other ideas? My guess is that maybe it's Penn Arms L-6 with the plastic shroud removed from the front of the cylinder. --commando552 (talk) 17:22, 31 January 2013 (EST)

I'll wait for others to comment for further change. I think that it's parts of a Milkor with another GL. Ominae (talk) 18:30, 31 January 2013 (EST)
Looks to me like a DefTech 37mm rotary launcher mocked up to look like a Milkor. Kinda like the way that the "M249" is a Daewoo K3 with M249 PIP accessories. -MT2008 (talk) 15:32, 1 February 2013 (EST)
Not 100% as it is a judgement thing, but I think the chambers are too short for it to be a Deftech. I have only ever seen Deftechs with long chambers (8 inch I think) whereas I think the chambers on this are shorter (6 inches?) ones like you can get on Penn Arms or Sage Control launchers. Does anyone know who originally invented this launcher, as basically the same launcher is marketed by several different companies with slight variations. --commando552 (talk) 18:51, 1 February 2013 (EST)
If you look at the launchers used in The Incredible Hulk the chambers are considerable longer than the ones seen here. However this could be a RAP4 launcher which, though it is externally similar to a Milkor, it is in fact a paintball launcher. --Charon68 (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2013 (EST)
If you read the description for that grenade launcher you will see that it is actually a single shot grenade launcher which has been mocked up with fake chambers. If you look at the last screenshot with Blonsky firing it you can clearly see the external hammer, along with the rear of the actual chamber which is well behind the cylinder. --commando552 (talk) 07:00, 2 February 2013 (EST)
I found this link though. Ominae (talk) 18:44, 5 February 2013 (EST)
On the top of the Milkor there is a tube, which is effectively an axis which the two halves of the launcher pivot around. When you reload it everything forward of the rear plate of the cylinder rotates out to the side, sort of like a typical revolver but where the hinge is at the top and the barrel moves with the cylinder. I think you are seeing the image you linked to wrong if you still think it is the one in the show. In the first Arrow image where you see it being loaded, the cylinder have pivoted downwards from the rear of the launcher like on a top break revolver. --commando552 (talk) 19:33, 5 February 2013 (EST)

Enfield L85A2

Must be airsoft as the british goverment is very reluctant to sell these into private hands plus any members of the british army and royal marines i know could not curse this weapon enough --Seekerdude (talk) 14:46, 26 July 2013 (EDT)

You do realize that the L85 has appeared in at least a dozen movies, and some of them are real? Children of Men, Dog Soldiers, Firefly, etc?--Mandolin (talk) 19:14, 26 July 2013 (EDT)

Unlikely for a short scene, I don't recall them firing or even appearing at all, someone should identify Slade's 1911's , alhough and I could be wrong here , but they could be star-b's --Iceman (talk) 08:37, 28 July 2013 (EDT)

It's possible that these L85s are airsoft, but I can tell you that the Canadian armory that supplies this show with its weapons (Felcan Enterprises in Vancouver) definitely has some real L85s. They appear in the Season 2 finale of Dark Angel, and actually fire blanks in that episode. I also know for a fact that Independent Studio Services in the United States has a handful of real L85s, though I believe that they are the only American armory which has them. -MT2008 (talk) 12:35, 28 July 2013 (EDT)

Well could be if they needed lots of unspecified guns and just threw in whatever was available, but that is hardly important, example person of interest uses airsoft pistols and you actually see an airsoft mag in one episode, I doubt its necessary to mention it here, theres still lots of stuff to identify. --Iceman (talk) 17:32, 28 July 2013 (EDT)

Others

Fyers obviously has a star, all the others seem like genuine 1911 of various makes. --Iceman (talk) 11:10, 3 August 2013 (EDT)

You know what type of Star pistol it is? Ominae (talk) 21:21, 3 August 2013 (EDT)

Probably a model B, but still should be separated since it clearly is not an actual 1911 --Iceman (talk) 06:54, 4 August 2013 (EDT)

CZ 75 P-07 Duty

Just me, or does it look like a SIG P226?--Crazycrankle (talk) 01:15, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

Because it probably is, judging by the what seem to be full lenght rear cocking serations and because it has none in front of the disassembly lever and because there is no reason a background extra would have such a specific gun when we know the armorer has dozens of sig's previously distributed to police extras --Iceman (talk) 04:59, 14 August 2013 (EDT)--Iceman (talk) 04:59, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

Might be wrong, but as far as I can tell, that's a GBB airsoft P226R. When it fires, it doesn't seem to eject any shell casings. -MT2008 (talk) 17:43, 20 November 2013 (EST)

Mossberg Shotguns?

Anybody else think both of the shotguns currently listed as Mossberg variants aren't? The second one listed as a 590A1 is the easiest to disprove, as there is no safety visible on the receiver in either of the shots. From how rounded the back of the ejection port looks, my guess would be an 870. As for the one listed as a homeland defender, this turns up in season 2 where it can be seen that the barrel is way too short for a normal homeland defender. Also I can't see a mossberg safety, although it isn't particularly well seen. Based on the fact that both shotguns seem to have short barrels and XS Ghost Ring sights, I would guess that they may actually be built from the same gun, just that the first one is fitted with a muzzle brake and Surefire handguard. --commando552 (talk) 11:56, 18 October 2013 (EDT)

Agreed on the 590, but it's a bit dark to make out details on the homeland defender. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:12, 18 October 2013 (EDT)
Yes, they are 870s with the Knoxx SPECOPS stock. Look at other TV shows and movies filmed in Vancouver recently (Sucker Punch (2011), Continuum, Underworld: Awakening, etc.) - in all of those productions, the shotguns are listed as 870s. And since this show gets its weapons from the same armory as those productions (Tom Felcan), you can assume that they're the same guns here.
This page has some other errors, too. For example, the so-called "MP5K-PDWs" are clearly just the same regular MP5Ks seen elsewhere on the show. -MT2008 (talk) 11:36, 19 October 2013 (EDT)

FIM-92 Stinger

The missile launcher identified as an S-300 by Wilson, and the subject of the island's climax, appears to be a Stinger launcher from an AN/TWQ-1 Avenger mounted on a chassis originally used for the MIM-72 Chaparral system (an M113). I've been watching the series on Netflix and don't have any means for a quality screen capture.

Robert Queen

What revolver does Robert Queen (Jamey Sheridan) use in the pilot? Has this been identified, but not posted because it gives away spoilers?--Crouchbk (talk) 03:17, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

It is on the main page, identified as a Ruger SP101.--commando552 (talk) 07:22, 24 August 2014 (EDT)

It's not a Ruger SP101, if you look at the really well defined barrel profile, it's definitely a Ruger GP100 with a 3 inch barrel, the Ruger SP101 has a smoother barrel profile without the noticeable rounded protruding sides.--Firepower194 (talk) 11:45, 25 August 2017 (EDT)
