Sommer & Ockenfuß Griffrepetierer Tactical

The Griffrepetierer, also known as the "Shorty", is a rifle made by the German company Sommer & Ockenfuß GmbH. The rifle is a bullpup with a somewhat unusual pistol grip straight pull pump action. The pistol grip incorporates a grip safety, which when released unlocks the bolt and allows the grip to be pulled to the rear (with the trigger remaining in place with the bisected trigger guard moving around it) and subsequently moved forward again to chamber a round. It was available in a number of versions including Hunting, Sporting and Tactical variants, and could be chambered in virtually all rifle calibers up to and including .416 Rem Mag. The rifle was reliable, accurate and made to a very high standard but due to its unusual action and modern appearance it proved unpopular with German hunters, the market to which it was intended. The company has since gone bankrupt, but the rifle has seen some limited use with German Police forces including GSG 9 chambered in .300 Win Mag.
