Smokin Aces 2: Assassins' Ball is the 2010 DTV prequel to 2007's Smokin' Aces. Like the original film, the sequel follows assassins and law enforcement officers converging on a single FBI target in order to protect or to eliminate. Assassins' Ball was directed by P.J. Pesce and Joe Carnahan returns as producer. The cast includes Tom Berenger, Clayne Crawford and Ernie Hudson and features the return of some of the characters from the original film.
The following weapons were used in the film Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball:
2nd and 3rd Generation Glock 17s are used throughout the film by the FBI Agents. Finbar McTeague (Vinnie Jones) also carries a 2nd Generation Glock 17.
NOTE: Although the FBI uses the Glock 22 in real life, the prop weapons in this film are most likely Glock 17s, since 9mm pistols are still the norm in Hollywood.
Lester Tremor wields a custom double-barreled shotgun that is actually a WWII German Krieghoff Model L flare gun modified to fire 12 gauge shells. This same prop was used in Blade: Trinity, and is identified in the special features on the DVD/Blu-Ray.
An M4A1 is used by Lester Tremor during the assault on the armory. Another M4A1 is used by a soldier in a flashback photo. Lazlo Soot is seen with an M4 Flat top with an AN-PEQ2 on the top rail in a flashback, but it's probably the same gun that Lester Tremor uses.

Note that this is a different gun than the one he uses later - it has the older-style 2-position buttstock rather than the 6-position LE stock of the rifle seen below. It also has a taller flattop receiver with an older-style Weaver rail (not Picatinny), which means that it's probably an older-model Olympic K3B-FT receiver.Error creating thumbnail: File missingLester Tremor returning fire with his M4. Historical Goof: Soot is impersonating an American Serviceman when he guns down an unarmed Iraqi family, thus creating all sorts of blame for the U.S. Forces, however, he is dressed in the 6-color desert camo from Operation Desert Storm (OSD) (1990-1991) which would have been phased out for years prior to the later Gulf War to involve Iraqis - Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) (2003). In Desert Storm, American ground forces stopped short of the actual Iraqi border, so there would not have been interaction between Iraqi Civilians and American ground troops during that conflict.Error creating thumbnail: File missingA couple of soldiers commandeer M4's in a flashback picture, respectively.

Daewoo K3
Fritz Tremor uses a Korean Daewoo K3 LMG that has been mocked up to look like an M249 Paratrooper. It is recognizable as a K3 by its front and rear sights and the shape of the gas tube (that, and the fact that the armorers in British Columbia seem to routinely use the K3 as an M249 substitute).

These modifications are commonly found on K3s in live-action productions.Error creating thumbnail: File missingNotice how its Paratrooper stock is attached directly onto the rear of the receiver rather than through an adapter like on the real K3 Para, a likely sign that this was a fixed stock K3 converted to use a Paratrooper stock.Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Hand-Held GE M134 Minigun
A Hand Held M134 Minigun is used by Baby Boy Tremor (C. Ernst Harth). The version used in the film appears to be a mock-up or replica, not one of the actual firing weapons, since the muzzle flashes when he fires the weapon are quite obviously CGI.

This is an airsoft version which retains the half-circle attachment point for the M60 foregrip from Predator; the real T2 minigun did not have this - (fake) 7.62x51mm NATOError creating thumbnail: File missingBaby Boy firing the Minigun. The muzzle flashes are obviously fake since weapon can't be fired, if the ammo box is in this position.
Sniper Rifles
Savage 10/110
A Savage 10/110 is used by the sniper on the roof. Lester Tremor also gets ahold of this weapon later.
