Slow West Kodi Smit-McPhee as young Scotsman Jay Cavendish in search for his lost love in the Wild West and Michael Fassbender as bounty hunter Silas Selleck who accompanies Cavendish. The film was awarded the Sundance Institute's World Cinema Jury Prize: Dramatic Winner at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

Unlike other Cavalry revolvers in the film, The Kid's gun has a nickel plated frame and barrel and blued cylinder. All the revolvers are most likely modern replicas.
