Red River

Red River is a 1948 B&W Western directed and produced by Howard Hawks and tells the epic story of a cattle drive (historically based on the opening of the Chisholm Trail in 1867) filled with rivalry and rebellion, spanning a time period of fifteen years. The cast included John Wayne, Walter Brennan and Montgomery Clift.
