Red Bruce Willis stars as Frank, a former CIA operative who has been designated by the agency as "RED" (Retired, Extremely Dangerous). When he discovers that he's been targeted for assassination, Frank then recruits some of his former colleagues to find out who is behind the conspiracy. The film was directed by Robert Schwentke and co-stars John Malkovich , Helen Mirren , Karl Urban , Mary-Louise Parker , Morgan Freeman ,and Ernest Borgnine . A sequel was released in 2013.
