Razzia sur la chnouf (French criminal slang for "Raid on the Dope"), released in the USA as Razzia is a 1955 French B&W crime noir movie directed by Henri Decoin and based on a novel by Auguste Le Breton (Rififi , Le rouge est mis , Du rififi chez les femmes , Le clan des Siciliens ), starring Jean Gabin and Magali Noël. Paul Liski (Marcel Dalio ), boss of the French drug ring, recruits a master criminal Henri Ferré alias "Le Nantais" (Gabin) who returns to France from America. Liski needs to improve efficiency of distribution of drugs, and Ferré, assisted by a pair of hitmen, begins his work. A legal cover for Henri is a restaurant Le Troquet . Soon Henri starts an affair with the restaurant cashier Lisette (Magali Noël). Meanwhile, the deeper Henri gets into the drug trade, the more successful the police become...
