Occupation is a BAFTA award winning three-part hour-long TV mini series that aired on the BBC in June 2009. It stars James Nesbitt as Sergeant Mike Swift, Stephen Graham as Corporal Danny Peterson, and Warren Brown as Lance Corporal Lee 'Hibbsey' Hibbs. The plot follows the three troops over the course of five years, starting with their service in the 2003 invasion of Iraq to 2007, examining the effect the war has on each of their lives.

Danny holds up a SIG-Sauer P226 when he waves to a Coalition APC after being ambushed.
Browning Hi-Power
The Browning Hi-Power is used by insurgents throughout the series.
Walther P99
Unis very briefly holds a Walther P99 in the 'good times' montage in episode 2. A P99 is also seen on the table of guns before the PMC contractors heads off to begin operations at the end of episode 1.
Submachine Guns
SA vz. 61 Skorpion
An SA vz. 61 Skorpion is briefly seen in the hands of a PMC member.
Rifles
AK-47
Unsurprisingly, many AK-47s are used by insurgents and undercover PMC members.
AKS-47
An insurgent is briefly seen with an AKS-47.
L85A1
Members of the British Army use the L85A1 assault rifle throughout the series.
M4A1
Replaces the L85A1 rifle for many of the characters later on in the series. Seen in the hands of US Army members and other Coalition forces.
Machine Guns
Browning M2 Heavy Barrel
British Army Land Rovers have a mounted Browning M2HB.
FN Minimi Para
Several characters are armed with an FN Minimi Para (designated the L110A1 in the British Army).
Launchers
M203
An M203 grenade launcher is seen mounted on Hibbs' M4.
RPG-7
An RPG-7 is used in the opening of episode 3.
