Northern Limit Line (Korean: 연평해전) is a 2015 South Korean war film, directed by Kim Hak-soon. It is based on the true events of the Second Battle of Yeonpyeong in June 2002, a conflict in the Yellow Sea near Yeonpyeong Island, between the North Korean navy (Korean People's Navy) and South Korean navy (ROK Navy) patrol boats. During the battle, 1 patrol boat was sunk, 6 men killed, 19 wounded for the ROK Navy, whereas 1 patrol boat was seriously damaged, 13 men killed, and 25 wounded for the KPN.

K5 Pistol

The Daewoo K5 appears as sidearm of Lieutenant Yoon Young-ha (Kim Mu-yeol). It also appears in a flashback scene of a young Yoon Doo-ho (Sunwoo Jae-duk), the father of Lieutenant Yoon. The flashback scene that it appears in is based on an actual incident that occurred on June 29, 1970.

Daewoo K2

Daewoo K2s appear as the main service rifle of ROK Navy patrol boat crewmen. The usual main service rifle of the ROK Navy is the M16A1, but South Korean patrol boat crewmen are issued the more modern K2 rifle since they serve as the spearhead of the ROK Navy.
