New Jack City is a 1991 action thriller that chronicles the rise and fall of a drug kingpin known as Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes). Ice-T and Judd Nelson co-star as the "New Jack" cops who are assigned to take down the "New Jack" gangster. The film was directed by Mario Van Peebles.
The following weapons were used in the film New Jack City:
Det. Nick Peretti (Judd Nelson) carries a Glock 19 as his personal weapon for the entire movie. In one scene, he uses a suppressor with his Glock to shoot a "smiley face" on a paper target hanging up in his own penthouse apartment as Scotty (Ice-T) and Lieutenant Stone (Mario Van Peebles) look on, questioning his sanity. Later on, he uses the same gun to save Scotty's life when confronting the Duh Duh Man (Bill Nunn). Scotty is later seen threatening Nino with the Glock.
Nino's main sidearm is a Beretta 92FS. He is most notably seen using it following a botched drug deal. He is also seen pulling it on members of the Mafia after they give him a present of a statue of a black man with a noose around his neck. Officer Park (Russell Wong) uses one during the raid on Nino's complex.
During the latter part of the movie when Scotty (Ice-T) and Nick (Judd Nelson) go undercover to flush out Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes), Scotty replaces his Browning Hi-Power with Desert Eagle Mark VII as his sidearm. It is seen used during the botched drug deal, when Scotty confronts the Duh Duh Duh Man (Bill Nunn).
The Old Man (Bill Cobbs) uses a Luger P08 when confronting Nino Brown (Wesley Snipes) in end of film. He also pulls it on Nino when confronts Nino for the first time.
Gee Money (Allen Payne) carries a pistol that resembles a Colt MK IV Series 80 fitted with pearl grips. He never fires it and only draws it once when the Mafia visit Nino and threaten him with a racist statue.
A Micro Uzi is used by the Cash Money Brothers throughout the film. Along with Nino, the Micro Uzi is used by the Duh Duh Duh Man (Bill Nunn) and Keisha (Vanessa E. Williams).
The CMB gangsters are seen guarding the Carter with full-size Uzi SMGs. A motorcycle assassin also is seen using a Uzi to take out the Italian gangsters who ordered a hit on Nino.
Several Cash Money gangmembers use MAC-10 machine pistols throughout the course of the movie. A few of the Italian gangsters that ambush Nino at the wedding also use the MAC-10.
Nick (Judd Nelson) uses a CAR-15 fitted with a laser sight and scope during the raid on the Carter and the attempt to rescue criminal informant Pookie (Chris Rock).
The Norinco Type 56 is seen being used by CMB gangsters during a random drive-by as well as during the botched drug deal near the end of the film.
