My Tenderly Loved Detective (Moy nezhno lyubimyy detektiv)
|
My Tenderly Loved Detective (Moy nezhno lyubimyy detektiv; original title also translated as My Dearly Beloved Detective) is a Soviet 1987 (filmed 1986) made for TV detective comedy. Miss Shirley Holmes (Yekaterina Vasilyeva) and Miss Jane Watson (Galina Simonova, credited as Galina Shchepetnova) are private detectives who successfully solve hopeless cases with the use of the deductive method. Scotland Yard detectives Lester and Biggs plan to get rid of the competition.
The following weapons were used in the film My Tenderly Loved Detective (Moy nezhno lyubimyy detektiv):
Nagant M1895 (visually modified)
When Miss Shirley Holmes (Yekaterina Vasilyeva) and Miss Jane Watson (Galina Simonova) shoot at targets, they use visually modified Nagant M1895 revolvers, fitted with long faceted barrels and fake loading levers in order to make them look as old cap and ball Colt revolvers, especially Colt 1851 Navy. The movie was filmed in cooperation with Lithuanian Film Studios, and the revolvers appear to be same props, seen in several productions of said studio, like Smok i Malysh, Priklyucheniya Kalle-syschika, and Nebusiu gangsteriu, brangioji.
