My Best Enemy (2005)
My Best Enemy (Spanish: Mi mejor enemigo) is a Chilean-Argentine-Spanish film released in June 2005. Directed by Alex Bowen, features the performances of Nicolás Saavedra, Erto Pantoja and Felipe Braun. Bowen won the Silver Pudú for Best Chilean Film at the 2005 Valdivia International Film Festival.
The story is based on the Beagle Conflict that pitted Chile and Argentina against one another, during December 1978. In this film, a critique is made of a conflict considered unnecessary between two neighboring countries and the subsequent abandonment of the soldiers after the end of the conflict.
