Moscow Skies (Nebo Moskvy)

Moscow Skies (Nebo Moskvy ) is a Soviet B&W 1944 war movie directed by Yuli Raizman. In Autumn 1941 young and inexpirienced fighter pilot Lt. Ilya Streltsov (Pyotr Aleynikov ) joins a regiment that provides air defence of Moscow. Streltsov's beloved woman Zoya serves as combat medic in same unit, and Ilya thinks that she is more interested in decorated aces than in a rooky pilot. But soon Streltsov shows himself as skilled and brave pilot, and he is convinced that Zoya still loves him.

Most Soviet pilots, including Lt. Ilya Streltsov (Pyotr Aleynikov ), Capt. Goncharov (Pyotr Sobolevsky ), Sr. Lt. Cherbina (Ivan Kuznetsov ) and Sr. Lt. Solovyov (Evgeniy Nemchenko ), carry Nagant M1895 revolvers. The guns are seen only in holsters.

Tokarev TT-33
When Lt. Ilya Streltsov (Pyotr Aleynikov ) makes crash landing after aerial ramming, he has a TT-33 pistol instead of previously seen Nagant. Some other pilots, including regiment commander Lt. Col. Balashev (Nikolay Bogolyubov ), carry holstered TTs.
