More American Graffiti
More American Graffiti is the 1979 sequel to 1973's American Graffiti. The film follows several of the characters from the original film and what happened to them as they entered their adult lives. The majority of the weapons were seen during the sequences following Terry the Toad (Charles Martin Smith) during his tour in Vietnam. In order to delineate the different time periods seen in the film, the sequences were in varying film styles, which are reflected in the screenshots below.
The following weapons were used in the film More American Graffiti:
Handguns
Colt Python
During scenes set in San Francisco, SFPD officers are seen armed with Colt Python revolvers, including Officer Bob Falfa (Harrison Ford).
Rifles
M16
In the scenes that take place in Vietnam, the M16 is the rifle seen carried by US troops including Terry "The Toad" Fields (Charles Martin Smith) and Lt. Sinclair (James Houghton). Toad is first seen trying to use the M16 to wound himself and then after a helicopter crash.
Valmet M71
A Valmet M71 rifle is seen in the hands of a US Army lieutenant. This rifle is most likely a substitute for an AK.
Machine Guns
M60
The M60 is manned by "Little Joe" Young (Bo Hopkins), a helicopter gunner who lived in the same town as Toad and had a small role in the original film.
Browning M2 HB
A Browning M2 .50 cal is seen used by US troops when Toad is mistakenly fired upon after an accidental discharge from an M16.
