Hondo
Hondo is a 1953 Western starring John Wayne as Hondo Lane, a stranger who befriends a homestead wife and her son and then finds himself defending them from Apache raids. The film was adapted from a short story by Louis L'Amour, who would later write the novelization for the movie. While John Farrow was credited as the director of Hondo, several of the film's battle scenes were directed by an uncredited John Ford.
