Heart of Bonivur (original title Serdtse Bonivura) is a Soviet 1969 historical mini series directed by Mark Orlov and based on the novel by Dmitry Nagishkin. The story is set in 1922 on Russian Far East, during the last events of Russian civil war. Vitaliy Bonivur (Lev Prygunov) is one of the leaders of Red partisans, struggling against the White forces.
The following weapons were used in the film Heart of Bonivur (Serdtse Bonivura):
Nagant M1895 revolvers are widely used by Red underground fighters and partisans, including Vitaliy Bonivur (Lev Prygunov), Aleksey Puzhnyak (Anatoli Yurchenko), Boris Lyubanskiy (Viktor Korshunov), and White officers. All revolvers are of anachronistic post-1930 version.
Glisenti M1874
Old peasant Zhilin (Ivan Pereverzev) owns a Glisenti M1874 revolver. He tells that he took the revolver from a White officer.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Afanasiy Ivanovich Toporkov (Yevgeni Burenkov), the commander of Red partisan unit, carries a Mauser C96 pistol in wooden holster.
Mauser C96 "Bolo"
A short-barreled Mauser C96 "Bolo" is seen among the weapons, confiscated by Whites counterintellegence service from Red underground.
White Army Rotmistr (Capt. in cavalry troops) Nikolay Karayev (Pyotr Glebov) carries an FN Model 1910 pistol. "Uncle Kolya" Storozhenkov (Boris Chirkov), the leader of Bolsheviks in Vladivostok, carries a holstered M1910. In the scene of Bonivur's escape Podporuchik Boris Lyubanskiy's (Viktor Korshunov) Nagant revolver switches to an FN Model 1910 due to a continuity error.
Several Single Barreled Shotguns are seen among the guns, brought to partisans by Bonivur and Puzhnyak. They are most likely Izhmekh shotguns, like IZh-K or IZh-17.
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27 (visually modified to resemble Lewis)
A Degtyaryov DP-27, visually modified to resemble Lewis, is used by both Reds and Whites. It is fitted with barrel shroud of very unusual shape, fake magazine in Lewis style and pistol grip. This movie prop appears in several other movies, filmed by Dovzhenko Studios, including Tachanka s yuga (1977) and Vystrel v grobu (1992).
Other Weapons
OSP-30 Flare Pistol
Vitaliy Bonivur (Lev Prygunov) uses an OSP-30 flare pistol when commanding the partisans to retreat.
Izhmekh IZh-SPL Starting Pistol
IZh-SPL blank firing starting pistol is seen in hands of Boris Lyubanskiy (Viktor Korshunov) during the chase in port. It is probably standing for some pocket pistol of early 20th century.
Hand Grenade (mockup)
Mockups of hand grenades, similar with RG-14s or RG-14/30s, are used by Red partisans, including Zhilin (Ivan Pereverzev) and his son Aleksey (Yuriy Nepsha).
F-1 Hand Grenade
Several F-1 hand grenades are seen among the firearms, confiscated by Whites counterintellegence service from Red underground. Zhilin (Ivan Pereverzev) uses an F-1 in the final battle. These anachronistic grenades are probably used as a replacement for Mills Bombs, used during the Russian civil war.
