Dick Francis: Blood Sport
Dick Francis: Blood Sport is a 1989 adaptation of Dick Francis' 1967 novel Blood Sport. It was one of the three Dick Francis adaptations released as TV movies in 1989 starring Ian McShane as jockey club investigator David Cleveland, along with In the Frame and Twice Shy. Oddly enough, the character of David Cleveland was only the protagonist in one Dick Francis novel, Slay Ride, but is the protagonist in all three films.
The following weapons were used in the film Dick Francis: Blood Sport:
Colt Detective Special
Suspected horse doper Munro (Ron Van Hart) draws a nickel-plated 3rd generation Colt Detective Special when chased by jockey club investigator David Cleveland (Ian McShane).
Walther PPK
David Cleveland carries a Walther PPK as part of his duties as an investigator for the British Jockey Club. Eunice Teller (Jennifer Dale) finds it in his jacket and plays with it.
