William Clark Gable (February 1, 1901 – November 16, 1960) was a famous American actor, called "The King of Hollywood". He starred in more than 60 films during his screen career, and mostly as a leading man. Gable won the Academy Award for Best Actor for It Happened One Night (1934) and was nominated for the roles as Fletcher Christian in Mutiny on the Bounty (1935), and as Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind (1939).
