Robert Wise (1914-2005) was a critically acclaimed American director who received four Academy Award nominations for Best Director and won twice, in 1961 for West Side Story and in 1965 for The Sound of Music. Although both wins were for musicals, he proved just as adept directing in other genres such as science fiction (The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), The Andromeda Strain, Star Trek: The Motion Picture), war (The Desert Rats, Run Silent, Run Deep, The Sand Pebbles) and horror (The Haunting, Aubrey Rose).
The following lists the films in the IMFDB directed by Robert Wise:
-
The Desert Rats (1953)
-
