Bezymyannyy Island (Ostrov Bezymyannyy) is a Soviet 1946 B&W war drama directed by Adolf Bergunker and Mikhail Yegorov. In 1943 Soviet weather and radio direction station is located on frozen Bezymyannyy Island in Arctic. Young female Asya Moskalyova, a meteorologist, starts her service on the station. Having survived a heavy winter and attacks of German air and navy forces, Asya finds her love, a polar aviator Platon Maleev.

During the attack of German plane on the weather station Petin (uncredited) fires a PPSh-41. PPSh SMGs are briefly hold by Soviet pilots and sailors in several scenes.

Twin Browning M2 Aircraft on AA mounting is mounted on Soviet Navy Project 122 submarine chaser. These guns were supplied via lend-lease and mounted on many Soviet ships in addition to domestic AA guns.
A Project 122 submarine chaser under the command of Capt. Lt. Tkachenko plays a significant role in the movie. It is armed with a 85-mm 90-K dual purpose gun, three 37-mm 70-K autocannons and several machine guns.
