Between Sky and Earth (Mezhdu nebom i zemlyoy) is a Soviet Moldovan 1976 (filmed 1975) musical comedy directed by Mihail Badiceanu and Valeriy Kharchenko. A young Moldovan Simion Kuku (Vsevolod Abdulov) serves in Soviet Army airborne troops. Being a talented singer, Simion together with two his comrades participates in a musical trio. Their music director Sasha Karasik (Larisa Eryomina) is a charming young woman, and soon Simion fall in love to her.

AKMS assault rifles, mostly fitted with rust-colored plastic magazines, are standard weapons of Soviet airborne troops.

Izhmekh IZh-18 (mocked up as percussion cap pistol)
In one scene Simion Kuku (Vsevolod Abdulov) is a background actor in a historical adventure movie. Simion and an another extra hold IZh-18 shotguns, sawed-off and mocked up as Percussion Cap Pistols (not fitting for 17th or 18th century when this film is set).
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
During the filming of a historical movie about Russian Civil war one of the extras carries a Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine.
