Amphibian Man. Sea Devil (Original title: Человек - амфибия. Морской дьявол, Chelovek-amfibiya. Morskoy dyavol) is a Russian 2004 four-part TV mini-series, remake of the 1961 original movie. Ichthyander is the adopted son of a talented scientist who transplanted shark's gills to him. A young man can breathe underwater, but on land he feels uncomfortable and after a while begins to suffocate. Because of this, he cannot live with people and is doomed to loneliness. Gutiere is the daughter of the owner of a small travel company, an aspiring singer. Once Ichthyander meets a girl and falls in love with her. But he is afraid to admit who he really is.
