24-25 Does Not Return (24-25 ne vozvrashchaetsya)

24-25 Does Not Return (a direct translation of original title; Russian title 24-25 ne vozvrashchaetsya, Latvian title 24-25 neatgriezas) is a Soviet Latvian 1969 (filmed 1968) detective movie directed by Aloizs Brencs and Rostislav Goryayev. During the theft in a medical clinic in Riga a pilot batch of valuable drug is stolen. Militsia detective Mara (Zhanna Bolotova) holds the investigation. Her groom, Dr. Imants Herberts (Aleksandr Belyavskiy) works in the said clinic, and Mara is afraid that he could be involved in the case. Meanwhile a taxi driver Purvytis (Gunars Cilinskis) figures out that his car with registration plate 24-25 is stolen. There is some connection between the theft and the disappearance of the car, and Mara would find this connection.
