Fargo - Season 1
From Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games
Revision as of 22:40, 23 November 2015 by GrizzlyWeasel(talk | contribs)(The rule is no spoilers unless directly necessarily to explain or illustrate the use of a particular gun. Whereas this article is deliberately giving away the entire plot piece by piece.)
The Glock 17 serves as the standard issue sidearm for the Duluth Police Department. It is carried by Officer Gus Grimly (Colin Hanks) and Duluth SWAT operators. FBI Special Agents Webb Pepper (Jordan Peele) and Bill Budge (Keegan-Michael Key) also carry Glocks as their sidearms.
Beretta 92FS Inox
Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) draws a Beretta 92FS Inox and places it on his car seat in anticipation of an ambush. However, when he is rammed by Wrench and Numbers the gun falls out of his reach, forcing him to use a knife to defend himself instead.
Taurus PT911 Stainless
Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) uses a suppressed Taurus PT911 in the Las Vegas. He later uses the same gun upon returning to Bemidji.
SIG-Sauer P226 Nickel
Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman) arms himself with a nickel SIG-Sauer P226 with pearl grips to protect himself from Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton). Interestingly, the nickel P226 was the weapon-of-choice for the kidnappers in the original movie.
Revolvers
Colt Python
Bemidji Police Chief Vern Thurman (Shawn Doyle) carries a Colt Python as his duty weapon. His successor, Bill Oswalt (Bob Odenkirk) also carries a Python as his duty weapon.
Purchased by Lester Nygaard (Martin Freeman) prior to the events of the show. It is later used by Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) to murder Chief Vern Thurman (Shawn Doyle)
Remington 870 Pistol Grip
Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) duct tapes a pistol gripped Remington 870 to the hands of Don Chumph (Glenn Howerton) before staging a shooting to distract the Duluth Police Department.
Remington 870
A member of the Duluth Police Department is seen firing a regular Remington 870 at the house rigged by Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton). Another 870 is seen in the patrol car used by Deputy Molly Solverson (Allison Tolman).
Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) uses a scoped M4A1 to summon Duluth PD to a house and distract them. He later rigs the same rifle to a tripwire, causing it to fire when SWAT officers approach.
Machine Guns
Daewoo K3 Paratrooper
Chazz Nygaard (Joshua Close) illegally owns a Daewoo K3 Paratrooper with rail forearm, vertical grip, and PIP collapsible stock. The K3 is meant to be a stand-in for an M249 SAW, and Chazz is said to have purchased the weapon from a friend who works in the Minnesota National Guard base Camp Ripley. He stores it in a secret compartment in his gun safe. Although the weapon is said to be an M249, it is clearly recognizable as a K3 by the shape of the gas tube and front sight (the show is filmed in British Columbia, where the K3 is always used as a stand-in for the M249).
Other
Flashbang Grenade
Duluth SWAT officers throw a flashbang grenade into the house rigged by Lorne Malvo to act as a distraction.
BB Gun
Greta Grimly (Joey King) arms herself with a lever action BB gun upon hearing that Lorne Malvo (Billy Bob Thornton) has returned to Bemidji.
