Pelagia and the White Bulldog (Pelagiya i bely buldog)
|
Pelagia and the White Bulldog (Pelagiya i bely buldog) is a Russian 2009 detective mini series directed by Yuriy Moroz and based on eponymous novel by Boris Akunin. The story takes place in Russia in late XIX century. The orthodox nun Pelagia (Polina Kutepova) investigates several crimes that takes place in the family of old and rich woman.
The following weapons are seen in the movie Pelagia and the White Bulldog (Pelagiya i bely buldog):
Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model
Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model revolvers are used by several characters including Stepan Shiryaev (Sergei Ugryumov), Murad (Sergei Legostaev) and Chief of police Felix Lagrange (Andrey Mezhulis). Most Smith & Wesson Russian Model revolvers that can be seen in Russian movies belong to Russian produced Pattern II, but here we can see a much more rare US produced Pattern I revolver that can be identified by the shape of the frame and the absence of the spur on the trigger guard.
Nagant M1895 Revolver
Nagant M1895 revolver is used by Vladimir Bubentsov (Timofey Tribuntsev) during the shootout in the forest. Policemen also carry Nagant revolvers. Chief of police Felix Lagrange (Andrey Mezhulis) uses Nagant during the shootout with Murad as a backup weapon.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30 Rifle
What appear to be M1891/30 rifles are briefly seen in hands of prison guards. If these are actual 91/30s (as opposed to carbine versions of the original 1891), they would be anachronistic for the setting.
Caplock Pistol
Caplock duel pistols are seen in the flashback scene of the duel of Vladimir Bubentsov (Timofey Tribuntsev).
