Winchester Model 1873 (Bicentennial "One of One Thousand")
The rifle of the film's title is a custom Winchester Model 1873 which is mentioned as a very rare rifle that is so perfect that it's named "One of One Thousand". Several of the main characters are seen holding the rifle including Lin McAdam (Jimmy Stewart), 'Dutch Henry' Brown (Stephen McNally), Young Bull (Rock Hudson), Steve Miller (Charles Drake) as well as Pvt. Doan (Tony Curtis).
Winchester Model 1873
Both Lin and Frankie Wilson (Michael Mitchell) uses other Winchester Model 1873 rifles in the film as well.
Single Action Army
Several characters use the Colt Single Action Army as well.
Winchester 1866 "Yellowboy"
Some of the participants in the rifle contest use Winchester 1866 "Yellow Boy" rifles during the target competition.
Springfield 1873 Trapdoor Carbine
US Cavalry troops including Doan (Tony Curtis) carry Trapdoor Springfield 1873 Carbine rifles.
Henry 1860
Steve Miller (Charles Drake) carries a Henry rifle that he uses as Lin and the US Cavalry defend themselves from the Indian charge.
