O Brother, Where Art Thou?
The following firearms were used in the 2000 film O Brother, Where Art Thou?:
Browning Auto-5
Browning Auto-5s are seen carried by the prison guards and some of the deputies.
double barreled shotguns
Prison guards also carry side-by-side double-barreled shotguns.
Remington 870
One of the Sherrifs carries a Remington 870, which is anachronistic for 1937.
- Are you sure this isn't just another cut-down Browning A-5. That was always my impression in this shot. It doesn't seem to have the forestock for a pump-action, but it does seem to match the profile for the A-5 (there is a gap between the barrel and magazine). It is hard to tell because it is just the silhouette and without seeing the trigger guard. Also, it could be a Remington Model 11 (if it is indeed a pump-action).SAWGunner89 06:01, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
Thompson M1928
Several of the posse chasing the gang carries Thompson M1928 submachine guns. George "Baby Face" Nelson (Michael Badalucco) also carries a Thompson, refering to it as his "Choppa" and using it to fire on police and cattle, several times clearing jams.
Unknown bolt-action rifle
Seen in the hands of Cousin Wash's son. The bolt-action rifle is possibly either a Springfield 1903 or a Krag-Jørgensen.
- I am preety sure this is a Springfield.SAWGunner89 06:03, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
