Wild Target (2010)

Wild Target is a 2010 British film, that is a remake of the 1993 French film "Cible Emouvante". Bill Nighy plays a world weary assassin, Victor Maynard, who has second thoughts when he is sent to kill a con artist, Rose (Emily Blunt) and ends being enamored by her free spirit and wild ways. He tries to protect her from other hired guns who have been sent to kill her, after he fails to do so. Meanwhile Victor, not having an heir and coming from a long line of assassins, tries to train an inept protege, Tony (Rupert Grint) (famous as Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter films), and prepare him for the world of hired killers.

The following guns were used in the film:

Beretta 92FS

A new model Beretta 92FS with Rails is used by Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) in several hits. The pistol he uses has an extended barrel (sometimes) and an ornate laser/light attachment to the front rail. His mother (Eileen Atkins) calls the Beretta the "Prince of Pistols".

Being a comedy, Victor holds his guns like he holds cups of tea (done intentionally for comedic effect)

While trying to train Tony, Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) disassembles and reassembles his Beretta blindfolded in seconds. Again, the Victor's trademark comedic grasp of the weapon.

Tony (Rupert Grint) ineptly tries to mimic Victor, and the slide, spring and Op rod go flying across the room, hitting Victor in the head.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Victor Maynard (Bill Nighy) uses an H&K MP5 as his preferred 'sniper' weapon. Using a submachine gun as a sniping weapon is an unusual choice, since Submachine guns are built and designed specifically for CQB. If he wanted a 'sub rifle caliber' autoloading weapon, there are many other choices which would be more suitable.

Heckler & Koch MP5A3 Navy Lower

Later in the film, he uses an MP5 with a Navy four position lower.

Smith & Wesson 686

Though at first glance it may resemble the Smith & Wesson Model 681 as used prominently in Snatch, this has adjustable rear sights and a different front sight, indicating that it is a Smith & Wesson Model 686.
