Hello together
I completed this with two guns, seen in the third season. I´ve also two scans from the episode, but sorry...I dont understand how to integrate... Edit: Forget it...I have found it...
HK USP an Smith&Wesson 4006
The pistol in this image looks more like a Sig P226;note the hooked triggerguard and the front of the slide.
And...
The lack of safety/decocker on the slide means this is either a 4046 or a 5946(I suspect the latter as this is a UK production).
If you know it so well, why dont you change the entries?
What is up with the brits?
These teams go in to find dinosaurs. Sure the Tactical teams have some firepower, but mostly it's the leads and they just walk everywhere and only a few of them are armed with tranquilizer guns. I have little sympathy for characters that constantly walk amongst dangerous monsters (sorry dinos) and are never armed so they have to fight them off with whatever is at hand. When you are part of a highly funded secret government agency that hunts and tracks anomalies and creatures, you get a F*&%king gun you twat!!! MoviePropMaster2008 04:38, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- But they're British, therefore they probably have to go through a bunch of shit just to get a gun and then more shit to keep it, like the British Designated Firearms Officers have to-S&Wshooter 01:09, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- That's 'coz the leads are scientists, not soldiers! Technically, their job is to investigate the anomolies. Getting the creatures back is also a side-effect responsibility, but technically the armed forces are to deal with that, with the leads giving them advice. But, if you've seen the show, you'll know that the leads are what Lester would describe as 'maverick' and not caring for regulations, hence they mostly go and deal with the situation themelves. The question I'm wondering currently is, Stephen wasa shooting champion in his youth, that would explain his knowledge of firearm use, Abby is a zookeeper, so would've used tranquillizers alot, it is known that Connor was at first not trusted with firearms because of his inexperience, as the series went on, he learnt how to use them and hence was able to. This would not explain why Cutter seems to know how to use a pistol from the onset. It's not explained what a University Proffessor is doing with a firearm (although ... Indiana Jones ...). I'm curious on the firearm training Cutter has, especially as his conversation with Connor in 2.1 seems to suggest that Connor is the only one without firearms training ... --Imagine Wizard 00:10, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
- Too many times, these 'mavericks' put themselves and others in uncalled for danger by NOT being armed enough for the mission. BTW, have you been to Britain recently? Police officers all over the place are packing Heckler & Koch MP5s with body armor (this all post 9/11). If there were prehistoric creatures devouring people all over Britain, I am sure that any REAL agency would have heavily armed units accompanying these 'maverick' (i call them idiot) scientists everywhere they went. But it's a Brit show and the liberal Brit television heads are very anti gun. I note (on another British show) that Doctor Who (though it IS in character) won't kill an enemy, even though his 'compassionate' actions end up killing a lot of people who are helping him. Ahhh yes, but they hold the 'moral HIGH ground' ... that's it ;) MoviePropMaster2008

- Speaking as someone who is British and has lived in Britain his life, Police officer all over the place are not arming themselves. Only really places that are at risk, such as Downing St. and some airports. Also, they don't arm themselves because they don't actually want to kill the past creatures (they don't mind killing future creatures as much, as they don't affect their present) unless they actually need to. Also, the armed units actualy do acompany the leads on all missions in the first series, much less in the second series however, only really making an apperance in episode 4, and in series 3 they acompany them on all missions except episode 2 (where they didn't actually know they were going to find a creature, only seeing if Cutter's predictions were correct), I don't recall them having a role in episode 4, episode 6 (as the leads were actually on the run from the forces), 8 (Becker wanted them to be, but Abby and Danny overuled him as they wanted to find Jack ASAP) and episode 10 because they were tring to track down Helen (although it is true that an armed force would help, and a bit unusual actually, seeing as the last time they arrested Helen they used an armed force to do it. One could only imagine they didn't have time to get together a force). So actually, most of the time they did have an armed unit, only really missing in series 2 (coincidentally, the only series not to have the head of security of the team as a major cast member (Ryan and Becker in series 1 and 2 respectively). Also, as I had said, they didn't actually want to kill the creatures, hence why they went to deal with it themselves, as most of them DID have firearms training, and so could use a tranquilliser. --Imagine Wizard 10:18, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
