The Boss (original title Il Boss; also released as Wipeout! and Murder Inferno) is a 1973 Italian crime movie directed by Fernando Di Leo. Henry Silva appears as Nicola Lanzetta, Sicilian Mafia hitman who is the main weapon of Don Corrasco during the war between two Mafia clans. The movie is the final part of so called Milieu Trilogy by Di Leo (two previous movies are Milano calibro 9 and La mala ordina).
Nicola Lanzetta (Henry Silva) carries a suppressed Walther P38 pistol in several scenes. In the scene in Lanzetta's apartments Cocchi (Pier Paolo Capponi) carries a P38.
Luger P08
In the scene in Lanzetta's apartments his suppressed Walther P38 switches to suppressed Luger P08 while the suppressor remains the same. The suppressed P08 is later used by Pignataro (Marino Masé) while Lanzetta fires a common P08.
Beretta M1951
Beretta M1951 is a service sidearm of Commissioner Torri (Gianni Garko). M1951 pistols are also used by various Mafia soldiers.
A snub nose revolver is very briefly seen in hand of one of Cocchi's henchmen.
Submachine Guns
FNA-B 43
FNA-B 43 submachine guns are used by both Lanzetta's and Cocchi's henchmen in several scenes. In the scene in Lanzetta's apartments he handles a FNA-B 43 SMG to Rina Daniello (Antonia Santilli).
MP40
Melende (Howard Ross), Cocchi's lieutenant, is armed with an MP40 in the scene in Lanzetta's apartments.
TZ 45
In the scene in Lanzetta's apartments one of Cocchi's henchmen is armed with a submachine gun that resembles a TZ 45, with its barrel shroud removed.
Shotguns
Lupara
Lupara, a typical Mafia weapon, is seen in hands of one of Lanzetta's henchman.
Rifles
Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle with Rifle Grenade Launcher
A Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle equipped with a rifle grenade launcher is used by Nicola Lanzetta (Henry Silva) in the opening scene. The launcher itself is supposedly a fake one. Every time Lanzetta fires a grenade, he staggers back due to heavy recoil (or Silva only mimics the effect).
Unidentified rifles
In one scene a Don Corrasco's bodyguard is seen with a rifle or shotgun.
Pignataro (Marino Masé) uses a hunting or sporting rifle of unidentified model to shoot one of Cocchi's henchmen.
Other Weapons
Unidentified Rifle Grenade
In the opening scene Nicola Lanzetta (Henry Silva) uses rifle grenades fired from Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle to wipe out rival Mafia boss Don Attardi and several of his guests. The grenades are possibly mockups.
