Gorky Zero

From Internet Movie Firearms Database - Guns in Movies, TV and Video Games
Revision as of 18:15, 3 May 2023 by Samz (talk | contribs) (Added the promo images of Sullivan with the Uzi. (Sadly I could only find re-uploads with Watermarks added, almost all of the same art from the site can be found watermarkless online so I'm inclined to believe this is also added but reverse image searching brings no results.)

Release Date: 2003
Developer: Metropolis Software
Publisher: JoWood Productions
Platforms: PC
Genre: Action-adventure, Stealth

Gorky Zero is a prequel to Gorky (known in the US as Odium) and was followed up by Gorky 02 Aurora Watching. (Known in the US as Soldier Elite) The game has Cole Sulivan being sent to investigate and destroy a secret Russian lab that's experimenting with turning people into mindless slaves. (Hence the original Polish Subtitle "Gorky Zero: Slave Factory")

In presumably an effort to encourage stealth, all of the game's firearms are drastically underloaded compared to their real life counterparts, likely to make it less feasible to take on several enemies in a direct fight.

The following weapons appear in the video game Gorky Zero:

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS appears, holding 6 shots and be able to be loaded with subsonic (Quieter than normal rounds but still audible) and silent (Enemies can't hear them at all) rounds as well as regular ammo. For some reason, Sullivan, a trained NATO soldier, fires his Beretta sideways during gameplay except when leaning.
