Type 93 mine

Type 93 landmine was adopted by the Japanese Imperial Army in 1933. It was used during the Battle of Khalkhin Gol in 1939, and throughout the WWII, notably on Iwo Jima. The mine was classified as anti-tank but the variable operating pressure of the fuze allowed to use it also as anti-personnel. The body of the mine was made of copper or brass that hampered the usage of metal detectors.
