Columbo is an American crime television show that was originally part of NBC's Sunday Night Mystery Movie series. The show stars Peter Falk as Lt. Columbo, a quirky, but experienced LAPD detective who is seen solving primarily murder cases through his carefully-worded questions and his powers of observation. Each season of the series consists of several feature-length episodes that would air throughout each year and the show would continuously air from 1968 to 2003. The series would be released on DVD under several different season designations, but the episode numbering here reflects the entries as seen on the IMDB.

Lauren Staton (Faye Dunaway) and Lisa Martin (Claudia Christian) are seen with a suppressed nickel Beretta Jetfire in the episode "It's All in the Game" (S12E01).

Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless
Jarvis Goodland (Ray Milland) in the episode "The Greenhouse Jungle" (S02E02) owns a Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless pistol. Kay Freestone (Trish Van Devere)uses a nickel model of this pistol with pearl grips to commit a murder in the episode "Make Me a Perfect Murder" (S07E03).
Colt M1911A1
A pair of nickel plated Rock Island Armory M1911A1 with pearl grips are owned by Dr. Bart Kepple (Robert Culp) in the episode "Double Exposure" (S03E04). In the episode "Columbo Goes to College" (S10E01), a Commercial Satin Nickel M1911A1 pistol is used as a murder weapon.
In "Double Exposure" (S03E04), Dr. Bart Kepple (Robert Culp) has a display of several handguns including an artillery model Luger P08. Kepple (Robert Culp) also uses one of the Lugers in the same episode. Paul Galesko in the episode "Negative Reaction" uses a Luger P08 as a murder weapon.
Mauser C96 "Broomhandle"
In the episode "Columbo Cries Wolf" (S09E02), a Mauser C96 "Broomhandle" fitted with a holster/stock combo is seen in a showcase with various weapons.
Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) in the episode "Payback" (S04E05) and Oscar Finch (Patrick McGoohan) in the episode "Agenda for Murder" (S09E03) use a Walther PP.
Walther PPK
Joe Devlin (Clive Revill) and Vincent Pauley (Albert Paulsen) both use a suppressed Walther PPK in the episode "The Conspirators" (S07E05). Vivian Dimitri (Helen Shaver) in the episode "Rest in Peace, Mrs. Columbo" (S09E04) uses a suppressed stainless Walther PPK. A stainless Walther PPK is seen in the hands of Delores (Tyne Daly) in "A Bird in the Hand..." (S11E03).

Vincent Pauley (Albert Paulsen) also carries a Browning Medalist .22 caliber target pistol in his briefcase in "The Conspirators" (S07E05).

Paul Galesko (Dick Van Dyke) in "Negative Reaction" (S04E02) uses a Colt Detective Special revolver. Great Santini (Jack Cassidy) in the episode "Now You See Him " (S05E05) is also seen with a suppressed Colt Detective Special. Graham McVeigh (George Wendt) buys a nickel Colt Detective Special revolver with black combat grips in "Strange Bedfellows" (S13E01). Later, after committing a murder, he exchanges his revolver for another Detective Special that belonged to mobster Bruno Romano (Jay Acovone).
Ward Fowler (William Shatner) is seen also with a Smith & Wesson Model 15 in the episode "Fade in to Murder" (S06E01). Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) uses this revolver to demonstrate a trap mechanism in "Columbo Goes to College" (S10E01).
Ken Franklin (Jack Cassidy) uses the Smith & Wesson Model 36 snub revolver in "Murder by Book" (S01E01). In theepisode "Suitable for Framing" (S01E04), this revolver appears as a murder weapon in the hands of Dale Kingston (Ross Martin). For the majority of the series, Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) is not seen carrying a firearm while on duty. However, in the episode "Lady in Waiting " (S01E05) he disarms the assassin Beth Chadwick (Susan Clark), and in the episode "No Time to Die" (S11E02), what appears to be this revolver is seen in the hands of the detective. This also happens to be the revolver of choice for several other LAPD detectives.

Vincent Pauley (Albert Paulsen) also carries a Smith & Wesson Model 60 revolver in his briefcase in "The Conspirators" (S07E05). Fielding Chase (William Shatner) uses this revolver as a murder weapon in the episode "Butterfly in Shades of Grey" (S12E02)).

PPD-40
Two rare PPD-40 submachine guns appear in the arms collect of Maj. Gen. Martin J. Hollister (Eddie Albert) in the episode "Dead Weight" (S01E03). One of them is visible with a box magazine; this is doubly interesting since the real SMG was never issued with one. This is a seemingly modern makeover, with a new magazine (possibly from the MP40) loaded via an added adapter.

Lt. Columbo (Peter Falk) finds a full-size Uzi in the briefcase of Vincent Pauley (Albert Paulsen) in "The Conspirators" (S07E05)).
