Holland & Holland has been manufacturing rifles and shotguns for over 150 years, and their products are fine-made and expensive. A customer who wishes to purchase a Holland & Holland "Double" will be measured for his/her rifle and then will wait for over a year (sometimes two years) for it to be made and delivered. A typical Holland & Holland double rifle will cost a minimum of $70,000. Depending on the caliber and other features the cost can go as high as $200,000. Secondhand Holland & Hollands can command prices just as high.
Holland & Holland produces Double rifles in almost any specified caliber. Barrel lengths can be had from 23 inches to 30 inches. Most customers order a Double in the big Nitro Express calibers. Some sources describe that .375 H&H Magnum, .470 Nitro, .500 Nitro, .577 Nitro and .600 Nitro were the most common calibers. Despite the astronomical prices involved the Holland & Holland Doubles are very rugged and dependable rifles.
