The Furies (1950) was directed by Anthony Mann (Raw Deal (1948) , Winchester '73 ), based on the novel by Niven Busch, and starred Barbara Stanwyck, Wendell Corey, Walter Huston , Judith Anderson, and Gilbert Roland. In an incredible stunt, Walter Huston, then 67 years old, wrangled a live bull to the ground. An estranged, strong-will daughter, Vance Jeffords (Stanwyck), seeks revenge against her tyrannical father, New Mexico land-baron T. C. Jeffords (Huston).
