Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots:"War has changed. It's no longer about nations, ideologies, or ethnicity. It's an endless series of proxy battles fought by mercenaries and machines. War - and its consumption of life - has become a well-oiled machine. War has changed. ID-tagged soldiers carry ID-tagged weapons, use ID-tagged gear. Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored and kept under control. War has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control... All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield... controls history. War has changed. When the battlefield is under total control... War becomes routine."

A message to all the haters:
"You think you can take me? You need a fucking army if you gonna take me!"

Congratulations, you have found a secret message. So now what? Get a f#%$ing life!!!

About me

My name is Peter. I'm 23 from Slovakia, but my nationality is Hungarian.
One day I was searching for information about the weapons in the video game Splinter Cell: Conviction and I found this site. Since I like guns and the Conviction page looked like crap, after buying and completing the game, I added a sh#tload of images to the page. After that I gathered all my old games (like Pandora Tomorrow, The Sum Of All Fears or Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory) and created pages for them. I spend about 3-4 hours daily on IMFDb, contributing mainly on video game pages. I must note that some of my screenshots were supplied by my friend "OrcF#$ker", because he also likes weapons but has no time to upload images and doesn't know heck about the wiki-code.
I usually screencap video games only, because it is much easier, and almost each time I can choose the scene and angle to get the best pic possible. Sometimes I use cheats, hacks, trainers or the developer console (see the Velvet Assassin page) to get some cool images. Here's how I screencap: I add the game to Steam and then simply press F12 and Steam will take care of the rest. After that I edit the image in IrfanView or Photoshop to enhance it if needed. I know that I should not alter the screenshots, but sometimes I mess around with the contrast or gamma to make the guns see clearly. If I'm not too tired I even remove the crosshair or other elements of the HUD.
What I don't like about this site is that some users and/or moderators are too ignorant and always undo edits. They cannot realize that some is just trying to help.
What IMFDb needs is to disallow the uploading of PNG's stolen from the official Call of Duty Wikia. If you are one of those users, don't fucking do that!!!

My Steam username is: Evan Stone Fan, add me if you wish. Currently playing: nothing
Battle.net username: EvanStoneFan, playing StarCraft II and will Diablo III if it will come out in this decade.

Some of my favorite weapons:

Beretta 92FS, SIG-Sauer P226R, CheyTac M200 Intervention, Glock 18C, Steyr AUG PARA, Barrett REC7, Heckler & Koch HK416,
I also like Russian-made weapons, especially by Izhmash (mainly the AK-103 and AN-94).

Makarov PM - standard issue of the Slovak police (yeah, I know they should "upgrade")

Call of Duty vs. Battlefield?

Which one is the ultimate shooter? Honestly, both suck monkey balls. COD games are like stupid low-budget action movies directed by Uwe Boll. No offense. Stupid AK(S)-74Us and lever-action guns dominate all maps. Not to mention the converted G17. In Battlefield the weapons and reload animations are low class and the hit detection is also poor. The best single-player campaign I encountered while playing Medal of Honor (2010). In my opinion that is the best shooter out in our Universe. I also like Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games because they offer some sort of reality and realistic weapons and attachments.

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998)

Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a single-player real-time tactics video game developed by Pyro Studios and published by Eidos Interactive in 1998. Beyond the Call of Duty is its stand-alone expansion, released a year later by the same developer and publisher. The expansion added new weapons, mission and enemies.

The following weapons can be seen in the game Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines and its expansion Beyond the Call of Duty:

__TOC__<br clear=all>

Behind Enemy Lines

Smith & Wesson 4506

The Smith & Wesson 4506 with wooden grips is the pistol of choice of the Commando team. This is the only weapon that can be used by the whole team (the only exception being the Dutch Contact, a character added in the expansion). Three shots can bring down an enemy soldier. Has a short range, comes with unlimited ammunition and fires as fast as one can click the mouse button. Appears as "Gun" in Behind Enemy Lines, and as "Pistol" in Beyond the Call of Duty. The weapon is heavily anachronistic, considering that the game takes place in the second World War, but the S&W 4506 was produced from 1988.

Early model Smith & Wesson 4506 - .45 ACP. This was an actual screen used pistol that was used by Ving Rhames and Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction.

M3 Grease Gun

The Grease Gun appears as "Submachine Gun" in the game. Only the Driver can use it of the Commandos. Has a small range and is always fired in short bursts. Usually 10 or 20 shots can be fired from it before it runs out of anmmo.

M3 "Grease Gun" .45 ACP. The later model M3A1 would eliminate the crank lever for cocking the bolt, and instead used a simple hole in the bolt for the shooter to use their finger.

Mills Bomb

The Sapper's standard fragmentation grenade is the Mills Bomb.

Beretta M1934

The Beretta M1934 wtih wooden grips is the standard handgun of Lips, the Dutch Contact. Has unlimited ammunition.

Lee-Enfield Rifle

The Driver's new weapon is a Lee-Enfield rifle. Only part of it can be seen, so it is impossibly to determine the exact variant. Appears as "Rifle", and has limited ammunition.

Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I - .303 British. This was the main battle rifle of British and Commonwealth forces during World War Two, however, it was supplemented heavily with the older Lee Enfield No.1 MK.III. First placed in service with the British military in 1941.

German Weapons

Unfortunately the German weapons are not detailed enough to determine the exact variants, but here is what's certain: German officers are always using a pistol (probably Luger P08 or a Walther variant) in the game. Most of the Wehrmacht guards are armed with rifles, possibly Kar98k's. The Machine Gunner soldier are using what appear to be the MP40. Several emplaced machine guns can also be seen, probably MG42s or MG34s.
