Name: Josh

Age: 22

State: California

Country: United States of America

Who am I?

I guess to start this off, my name is Josh, and I hail from the hot and sunny state of California. Yeah, yeah, I know... One of the most pro-liberal states in the union with crazy wildfires, shit weather, restrictive gun laws, and will supposedly fall into the ocean and join Hawaii in 2012...

Ok, ok, now that I got those god-awful jokes out of my system, I guess I will tell you more about myself...

I am your average-joe Southern California resident who happens to be a gun-lover. I first discovered this site in the winter of 2009 when I was searching for what kind of handgun the Joker used in the film The Dark Knight, and after a time of some anonymous editing of a few pages and picture captions, I decided to create an account here on IMFDB for the hell of it. I enjoy this site and I think it has one of the best insights as to what kinds of firearms were used in movies.

I currently do not own any firearms, but I have handled and fired several different firearms throughout most of my life (from simple hunting rifles to modern handguns). I am also an airsofter and I currently own 5 airsoft firearms; a shotgun and 4 pistols.

I guess the only things left for me to say is that most of the time, I am a fun-loving guy and I don't mind making new friends or having friendly discussions or debates about guns or movies. I will stick around this site for a bit and help out on the articles that need work where it is needed. Other than that, feel free to hit me up on any questions or discussions that you guys want to have with me.

Pages that I have worked on/edited

Batman: Gotham Knight - The page looked very good, I commend whoever got the good screenshots from the film, the only thing it was lacking was some picture captions that were relevant to the film, so I took the liberty to add some back when I was an anonymous editor.

Pages that I would like to see/help build

Zombies of Mass Destruction - I would like to see this movie get it's own page here on IMFDB. I think it's a good zombie comedy flick, and sure it's nowhere near as good as the more popular zombie flicks out there, but it's still a damn good film.

Smith & Wesson M&P40 - Does this gun really exist?

My airsoft guns

I will upload some pictures of them soon, but my airsoft guns are modeled after the following real-world firearms:

AMT Hardballer - And for some reason, this airsoft version has trademarks on the side that says it's a 9x19mm M1911... But real life AMT Hardballers aren't chambered in 9mm, are they?

Mossberg 500 - More specifically, the Cruiser version with a pistol grip

Walther PPK - It's a really good airsoft pistol

Smith & Wesson M&P40 - Even though this is a great airsoft handgun, does it really exist in real life? Because I don't see a page on here about it

Mauser C96 - This one is made of high quality metal, and it shoots pretty hard. It's modeled after the CM712 select-fire version of the Mauser C96

Favorite Films

Independence Day

Saving Private Ryan - One of the best war films of all time

Black Hawk Down

Cloverfield - If you are gonna watch this movie, watch it on a smaller screen, not a huge screen. Especially if you get dizzy from fast, first-person motion in a movie

Batman Begins

The Dark Knight

The Punisher (2004) - Because both films actually nailed down what the Punisher is all about

Punisher: War Zone - Because both films actually nailed down what the Punisher is all about

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Favorite TV Shows

Lock 'n Load With R. Lee Ermey - Probably one of the best TV shows where the host is a former U.S. Marines gunnery sergeant (and won almost every medal in the book).

Future Weapons - Watching the next generation of weapons in action it pretty cool.

Favorite Videogames

Left 4 Dead - What the videogame adaptation of the film 28 Days Later would be like

Left 4 Dead 2 - Very good sequel to the previous game

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - A very well done videogame about a possible war happening in our time, and it FINALLY took players out of the World War II setting (Not that it's a bad thing, but it was getting old after awhile)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Awesome sequel! And it's a videogame that deals with that hypothetical war that could happen one day between the United States and Russia

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Wow, this one was pretty damn good. Maybe not as great as MW2, but it is still a great game

Favorite Firearms

M1911 - Best handgun ever made, PERIOD. If a woman were turned into a gun, then she would be the M1911...

Mauser C96 - Elegant design if somewhat pricey. But if a gun was made to look good in film, the C96 is that gun (aside from the M1911)

Tokarev TT-33 - A nice design and overall look to it. The look and feel is very reminiscent of an M1911/Colt Hammerless hybrid.

Ruger Mk III - If I need a naturally silenced, low-recoil weapon in a zombie apocalypse of the Living Dead, this would be my weapon of choice

Ruger Mini-14 - I just like the feel of this weapon.

Smith & Wesson Model 29 - "Do I feel lucky? Well do ya... Punk?"

Smith & Wesson Model 686 - A little more powerful than the previous one, but it still begs the question to your target "Do you feel lucky? Punk?"

Smith & Wesson Model 500 - Yeah, yeah, I know, this gun is an overpowered beast. But when you are under attack from a savage wild animal when you are out hunting, wouldn't you reach for this revolver?

M1 Garand - The best friend of an infantryman

AK-47 - If you need a medium-range assault rifle that wont foul up easily in rough combat conditions, then this is the gun for you!

CornerShot - Ok, ok, I know this is not a real firearm, but it still looks very cool and awesome to use, no?

FN SCAR - An pretty good improvement over the M4 carbine

Steyr AUG - Why does this bullpup rifle get so much hate?

FAMAS - I like this rifle, it has such a good look to it and I also enjoy the feel and easy use of bullpup rifles

FN P90 - It may look like a toy, but this gun still packs a nasty punch when the going gets tough

HK416 - The fact that you can shoot this gun when it's waterlogged, muddy, dirty, or full of sand, makes it awesome

Heckler & Koch MP7 - This is a good weapon for concealment and providing sufficient cover fire

M1 Carbine - The best friend of a paratrooper

Mossberg 500 - A good shotgun

Winchester Model 1887 - I don't know why, but I like the look of a shotgun that has that old Western-style lever action mechanism

Remington 870 - Nothing speaks "American made, American proud" better than this shotgun (Aside from the M1911)
