Rescue: Special Ops was an Australian TV Series that ran for 3 series between 2009 and 2011.
The following weapons were used in the television series Rescue: Special Ops:
Handguns
Glock 22
Detective Ian Johnson (Tim McCunn) is seen with a Glock 22 on Series 2 episode 13 "Crazy Love." The fact that it is a Glock 22 can be deduced from the fact that this is the version issued to New South Wales police officers. State Police officer Zoe Hulme (Petra Yared) also has one on Series 3 Episode 12 "Break Out."
SIG P230
A man is seen holding this gun on Series 2 episode 6 "Thicker than Water."
Smith & Wesson Model 13
An inept corrections officer called Gus McCarthy (Ben Ager) has this firearm with a 3" barrel on Series 3 Episode 12 "Break Out." A prisoner called Sheree O'Brien (Caroline Craig) appropriates the gun from him and uses it to escape, later taking rescue operative Jordan Zwitkowski (Daniel Amalm) hostage. The shape of the trigger guard and cylinder release are big giveaways to this being a Smith & Wesson. The fact that it is a model 13 can be seen from the fact that this has a longer cylinder, as found on .357 magnum models. The Model 13 does not have adjustable rear sights, which is unusual for modern Smith & Wesson models. The shape of the front sight also precludes it from being an earlier variation.
Shotguns
12-gauge Double-barrel shotgun
Series 2 Episode 3 "Locked In" features a father trying to retain custody of his children, Conrad Hartigan (Andy Rodoreda), who uses a 12-gauge double-barrel shotgun to try and stop the rescue helicopter from taking off with his estranged wife and kids.
Other
Break-Action Air Rifle
Boat mechanic Wayne McCann (Jack Millyn) shoots his boss with an air rifle after failing to seduce his wife on Series 2 Episode 2 "A Day in the Death of Dean Gallagher."
