Occupation is the BAFTA award winning three-part hour-long TV mini series that aired on the BBC in June 2009. It stars James Nesbitt as Sergeant Mike Swift, Stephen Graham as Corporal Danny Peterson and Warren Brown as Lance Corporal Lee 'Hibbsey' Hibbs. The plot follows the three troops over the course of five years, from the 2003 to 2007, examining the affect the war has on each of their lives.
The following weapons were used in the miniseries Occupation:
L85A1
All of the characters hold or have held an L85A1 rifle in the course of the series.
FN Minimi
Several characters are seen to hold an FN Minimi M249 Para (L110A1).
SA vz. 61 Skorpion
Briefly seen in the hands of a P.M.C team member.
M4A1
Replaces the SA80 rifle for many of the characters later on in the series. Seen in the hands of U.S Army members and other Coalition forces.
Beretta 92FS
Seen in the hands of Hibbs when he defends himself against corrupt members of the Iraqi Police.
Beretta 92FS Inox
Seen in the hands of a corrupt member of the Iraqi Police
SIG-Sauer P226
Seen in the hands of Danny when he waves to a coalition APC after being ambushed.
Browning Hi-Power
A Browning Hi-Power is used several times in two episodes of Occupation. It is seen in the hands of two different insurgents.
Walther P99
Unis is seen very briefly holding the pistol in the 'good times' montage in episode 2, as well as being seen on the table of guns before the PMC group head off to begin operations at the end of episode 1.
Browning M2 Heavy Barrel
Seen mounted on a Land Rover several times over the course of the three episodes.
RPG-7
Seen once in the opening of episode 3.
AKM's & AK's
Unsurprisingly, many are used by insurgents and undercover P.M.C members.
M203
Seen briefly mounted on Hibbs' M4.
Unidentifiable
Due to my lack of gun knowledge and experience, I cannot identify with confidence the guns below. Feel free to edit and change this section and sort them out.
