The Colt SAA "Quick-Draw" is used by numerous characters throughout the movie. Most notably Colt Thornton (John Wayne), Sheriff Harran (Robert Mitchum) and Bart Jason (Ed Asner).

Cut-down Double Barrel 12 Gauge
Whne Alan Bourdillion Traherne aka "Mississippi" proves to more adept with a knife than a handgun Thornton gives him a cut down double barreled 12 gauge.
