The Cockpit (ザ・コクピット) is a 1993 three-part OVA anime which tells 3 fictional different stories about Axis point of view during World War Two. The first episode "Slipstream" is about a German Pilot who has fallen out of favor but is nevertheless tasked with escorting the first German atomic bomb. In "Sonic Boom Squadron", the viewer gets an insight into the last hours of a young Japanese kamikaze pilot during early August 1945. And finally in the last episode "Knight of the Iron Dragon" two Japanese soldiers, during the Battle of Leyte, embark on a journey trying to keep a promise.

Captain Erhardt Von Rheindars is briefly seen drawing a Luger P08 during the encounter with German ground troops in Ep. 1 "Slipstream".
Submachine Guns
Type 100
A Late war Type 100 submachine gun is carried by Private Kodai over his back which is never seen used Ep. 3 "Knight of the Iron Dragon".
M3A1 "Grease Gun"
The American motorcyclist uses an M3A1 "Grease Gun" in the same episode.
Rifles
Mauser Karabiner 98k
German soldiers in "Slipstream" carry Karabiner 98k rifles during the encounter with Von Rheindars and at the airfield.
Arisaka Type 38
Imperial Japanese Army soldiers including Private Utsunomiya carry Arisaka Type 38s at the beginning in the artillery position in "Knight of the Iron Dragon".
M1 Carbine
The M1 Carbine is seen used by U.S. soldiers firing at Private Utsunomiya.
M1 Garand
Some US troops are also seen with M1 Garands in the same scene.
Machine Guns
Nambu Type 96
Private Utsunomiya deploys a Type 96 light machine gun on Kodai's Type 97 (Rikuo) motorcycle which he received from a machine gunner.
Browning M1919A4
Browning M1919A4 are used by American soldiers to stop Private Utsunomiya.
Mounted Weapons
MG17
Two MG17 machine guns are mounted on German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 planes at the beginning in "Slipstream".
