The Godfather (VG)
The following guns were used in the video game The Godfather:
Smith & Wesson Model 10 Snubnose
Called just the "Snubnose" in the game.
It is said to be the most silent and the weakest of the handguns in the game.
Colt M1911A1
Called just "Pistol" in the game.
Colt Official Police
Called "Magnum" in the game, in reality this gun fires .38spl just like the "Snubnose".
It is said to rival the "Shotgun" in power in the game.
Thompson M1928
The gun omnipresent in any mobster movie/game, called inside the game only by it's nickname, "Tommy Gun".
In the game, it inaccurately carries only 25 rounds, when in reality the drum magazine houses a plentyful of 50 rounds.
- While you are correct with regards to the drum magazine, the Thompson was compatible with a variety of box magazines of lesser capacity. Having not actually played the game I do not know which style of magazine it is depicted as using so your complaint may be well founded.
- The SMG in the game uses a drum magazine, which makes the ammunition capacity strange indeed. However, it is possible to upgrade the Thompson to one with more rounds in the drum. The weapon's appearance is unchanged, though.
Winchester Model 1897
Called the "log barrel shotgun" in the game, it actually lacks the exposed hammer of the M1897.
In the game, it has an odd reloading logic: despite being pump-action, you can fire 2 shots before you have to actually pump it.
As one would expect from the "shotgun" of the game, this gun does a nice work at close range shootouts.
