The Heckler & Koch USP (''Universelle Selbstladepistole'', or "Universal Self-loading Pistol") was first introduced in 1993 and is still currently manufactured. It is offered in several calibers - 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. The .45 ACP version of the USP has a slightly longer barrel and a slightly taller grip than the 9mm and .40 S&W models.
